Christmas Wishes...

The snow just keeps on coming down, inch by inch here in Finland. But at the same time snow reports from Norway are starting to look really bad. The latest one I checked out a week ago from Hemsedal promised around 10 inches at the top, and at the same time we got 28 inches in freaking Helsinki.

The season has started quite good considering myself. I’m building up my confidence by destroying myself by the kickers at Talma a local resort that rises up to a huge 181 feet. Yeah, it’s not a skier’s paradise but it’s something different and I enjoy every aspect of skiing. Doesn’t matter if it’s kickers, rails, riding switch down a small hill, but in the end nothing beats those tiny particles of frozen water that we call pow hitting your face as you launch down a mountain.

Lately we have been scouting around Helsinki, looking for some short fun “urban” lines. Last Saturday we hit a spot called Hallainvuori, nothing that special, a couple of turns here and there, and some tiny drops and a lot of rocks.

Sunday morning went by at Talma, I managed to bruise both my ankles by overshooting the landing twice in a row. Continued to Salmisaari to do some shitty looking sport climbing and ended my evening just thinking about a bunch of stuff considering tricks, snow, future trips and the upcoming weeks.
.Doing the snow dance to improve Norway's conditions.

So it’s three more workdays and then it’s time to hit my old hometown for Christmas. Only going to spend a couple of days there, and then head of to Himos with Vellu for some fun in the snow.

So does yours truly have any Christmas wished? Yeah I do, all I want for Christmas this year is a lot of snow around Norway.
